Office Manager

We are looking for an office manager to co-ordinate and lead our sales team to meet targets. We are dedicated engineering professionals who have been building and repairing diesel engines for over 80 years. We have some exciting new projects and the sales team is at the core of driving this forward.

If you are an experienced office or sales team manager with commercial drive and a sympathy or direct knowledge of engineering products, you are likely to have the core requirements to meet our needs.

Engine Technicians

We are currently looking to recruit engineering technicians to carry out engineering work to a high standard on diesel engines in the mid-power range.

Applicants must be time served or with suitable qualifications and not less than 2 years hands on experience and have the ability to run tests on engines. They should be capable of carrying out corrections and working with minimum supervision. Must be flexible and hands on.

This is a permanent position offering a competitive hourly rate.

Mechanical Engineers/Fitters

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Fitter specialising in Marine Diesel Engines and all types of Generator Sets.

Electrical experience would be an advantage.

Applicants must be time served or with suitable qualifications and not less than 2 years hands on experience. They would be expected to work overseas and offshore when required.

Sales and Business Development Opportunities

Glasgow based engineering firm have two vacancies for Sales and Business Development personnel at senior and executive level. They will work closely with the technical Team and Project Manager. Applications are invited from dynamic and forward thinking individuals with the drive to succeed in a sales focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Identifying new business opportunities for core products and presenting feasibility and development strategy to the management and the Board.
• Implementing Board strategy for new products and their successful development into main line products.
• Meeting sales targets.
• Increasing company revenue through maximising business opportunities and building relationships.
• Assist in the development of a marketing plan, specifically advising on: realistic forecasts for each product and territory
• Implementing sales promotion programme plans.

Requirements
• Experience in a similar role.
• Minimum of 2/3 years’ B2B sales experience, preferably within an engineering environment.
• May involve overseas travel.
• Familiarity with data analysing and reporting.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive and enthusiastic approach to work.
